Crystal Yellow Peach Tart
Overview
Egg tart, (EggTart) is called egg tart in Taiwan, and tart is the transliteration of English tart, which means a pie with exposed fillings (relative to a pie whose surface is covered by a crust and sealed with fillings); an egg tart is a tart with egg paste as the filling. The method is to put the pie crust into a small round basin-shaped pie mold, pour in the egg mash mixed with sugar and eggs, and then put it in the oven; the baked egg tart has a crispy outer layer and an inner layer of sweet yellow solidified egg mash. The types are divided into butter egg tarts, pastry egg tarts, and Portuguese egg tarts. This crystal tart doesn’t need to be baked in an oven, so don’t be fooled by its charming tart-like appearance.
