Steamed wolfberry spikes
Overview
Medlar peach ears are the ears on the wolfberry tree. They will bloom when they grow old. The best time to eat them is when they are young. When they bloom, they will become too old and cannot be eaten. There are only a few days in a year. If you miss it, you have to wait a year. The most common way to make this wolfberry peach is to steam it. I always steam more and freeze it in the refrigerator, so that I can still eat it even if it is out of season.

-
Wash the wolfberry ears with water several times
-
Remove and dry the surface moisture. If you have a vegetable dehydrator, you can quickly remove the water. If you don't, just let it dry for a while.
-
Control the water and mix it evenly with oil first. This can lock in the moisture and prevent sticking after steaming
-
Add salt and five-spice powder to taste
-
Add flour and cornmeal
-
Mix evenly, just coat the surface with a thin layer of flour

Steam in boiling water for 8 minutes

You can eat it directly after steaming, or you can add chili oil or minced garlic.
