Reserve the oranges.

Peel and then peel into separate small flaps.

Set aside hawthorn cake.

Cut into small pieces.

Stir the sweet potato starch water and set aside.

Set aside rock sugar.

Put an appropriate amount of water in the pot and pour in the hawthorn cake.

Bring to a boil over high heat and cook for about five minutes until the hawthorn cake is completely melted.

Add the oranges and cook for another five minutes or so.
