Carrot Meat Balls
Overview
It’s New Year, let’s cook something for ourselves. I have a lot of wishes this year, and they all require some money, so I simply made a radish meat ball, which means a lot of blessings.

-
Wash the scallops, add a little water to soak them, crush them until soft and set aside.
-
Due to the constraints of my family, I can only buy ready-made pork belly in the supermarket. The best thing is to buy the pork belly and chop it slowly yourself. After cleaning, I beat the meat ball several times to make the meat a little chewy, then added salt, sugar, soy sauce, cornstarch and oil and stirred until ready.
-
Peel and wash the radish, cut into thick slices, and make a hemisphere in the middle. My skills are limited and the shape of the hemisphere is slightly poor.
-
Start by placing the meat into the hole of the cut radish, use a spoon to shape it into a rounder ball, and then place the crushed scallops on top of the meat ball. The main purpose of adding scallops is to look good and make the whole dish fresher and sweeter. It's just personal preference. You can also replace it with corn, shrimp, etc.

Okay, now put a prepared radish meat ball on a steamer and steam it for about twenty minutes. Due to my limited conditions, I did not steam it over water, but boiled it in a little bit of water. However, the radish placed underneath would be softer. If steaming over water, the radish may need to be drained first. When cooking, the home will be filled with a very fragrant and sweet radish scallop smell.

When the radish meat balls are almost ready, add the water in which the scallops have just been soaked into the soup stock bought in the supermarket. I want it to be lighter, fresher and sweeter, so I choose chicken minced corn flavor, boil some soup to make gravy and pour it on the cooked radish meat balls. Of course, it would be better if you have prepared stock at home. Done!
