Homemade Tomato Sauce
Overview
This method of peeling tomatoes was seen on Yuanzhuzhu’s Sina blog. After testing this time, it is really convenient and the peeling is perfect. I highly recommend everyone to try it. When making tomato scrambled eggs, Nobao always likes to pick out the tomato skin. With this method, the baby will not have so much trouble eating tomatoes in the future. Thank you Sister Zhuzhu for sharing! I have never searched for other methods of making tomato sauce before making this. I made this based on my own feeling. When I was cooking, I searched and saw many other methods: use a blender to make it, and some add water to boil and then filter~~ I think this is the simplest and most trouble-free. Lazy children might as well give it a try. The thick original tomato sauce filled with tomato seeds is not as sweet and salty as the commercially available tomato sauce, and there are no onions and other ingredients added. It is a complete original tomato sauce that is delicious with rice and noodles as a staple food or as a side dish. The most classic thing is to pair it with potatoes. Everyone should be familiar with the classic combination of So-and-so Old Man’s Restaurant.

Steps

First, let’s introduce a quick method to peel tomatoes:
-
Wash the tomatoes, take a large fork and insert it from the pedicle to fix it (the example in the picture is from the beginning. Later, after testing, inserting it from the pedicle is the most convenient for peeling);
-
Turn on the gas stove to a low heat, put the tomatoes on the fire and turn them back and forth to heat. After a while, you will hear a "pop" sound, and the skin of the tomatoes will explode due to the heating;
-
Then you can easily peel off the skin completely.
-
Then cut the tomatoes into small pieces (it’s still large in the picture, keep cutting);
-
Add a small piece of butter to the hot pan and heat over low heat until it melts;
-
Add the chopped diced tomatoes and stir-fry over medium-low heat, crushing and stirring constantly to avoid burning the bottom;
-
Finally, when it is almost a paste, add sugar, salt, and chicken essence to taste according to your preference. It's very simple, the whole process takes less than 10 minutes, and the delicious tomato sauce is ready.
