Steps
-
Wash the squid and set aside. Wash and peel the potatoes, cut into strips, cover with plastic wrap and microwave for 3-5 minutes
-
Add salt and black pepper and grind into puree
-
Add chopped green pepper and onion and mix well. You can also fry diced green peppers and onions in a little oil until they are raw. I personally prefer a crispy texture, so I use raw ones
-
Stuff it into the squid tube and stuff it tightly until it is 80% to 90% full. The squid will shrink slightly after it is cooked. Squeeze the mashed potatoes outward. If they are stuffed too full, they will overflow
-
Add a little oil and cumin powder to the Korean hot sauce and adjust it to a spreadable consistency
-
Seal the mouth with a toothpick, brush with the hot sauce from the previous step, put it in the middle rack of the preheated oven, bake at 180 degrees for about 8 minutes, then flip it over and brush with the hot sauce, move to the upper rack and bake for 3-5 minutes. The specific time and temperature will depend on the size of the squid, and the actual oven temperature will increase or decrease as appropriate
-
Take it out to cool slightly, place it on oil paper, and cut into thick slices with a sharp knife
