Ingredients
Steps
-
Choose a handful of palm cotyledons that are clean and mold-free.
-
Wash the white glutinous rice and soak it in pure water overnight, then replace with clean water.
-
I bought red glutinous rice at the morning market (encountered by chance), and I bought Yunnan colored glutinous rice online before. Wash and soak as above.
-
Purple glutinous rice is as described above.
-
Choose candied dates that are slightly harder, wash and set aside.
-
Boil the water in the pot, add the dried palm leaves and cook for half an hour, cook thoroughly, wash and set aside
-
I used different kinds of rice to wrap pure red, pure purple, and various mixed colors. They were all wrapped randomly and tied with white string. I cut off the excess leaves to make them neat and nice.
-
Place the brown rice in the pot.
-
Add water to the pot and bring to a boil for 5 to 10 minutes, then turn to low heat and simmer for 50 minutes and simmer overnight.
-
Cooked brown rice.
-
Remove the palm leaves and the colorful glutinous palms will appear.
-
If you cut it open, you will see various colors of glutinous rice, candied dates, and large kidney beans embedded in it. It is so beautiful.
-
Enjoy its pure, soft and sweet taste.
-
The colorful colors tempt the appetite, and family members rush to grab them all, so you can feast your eyes and mouth on your own (the Dragon Boat Festival has not yet arrived, so your family members have eaten many times in advance).
