Japanese University Taro
Overview
University taro is a dessert made of fried sweet potatoes coated in molasses, but why is the word "university" added to it? The name of the university taro comes from the fact that during the Taisho era, a store in front of Tokyo University Akamon would sell sweet potatoes in the winter. It was well received among students, so it was named "University Taro". The method of making university taro is somewhat similar to our drawing, and it is much easier to make than drawing. The most common seasonings are used, and it is very simple to make at home.
