Wash and cook the eggs.

Peel the hard-boiled eggs.

Add water to the pot, an appropriate amount of braised meat juice, a small handful each of aniseed and peppercorns, and an appropriate amount of salt. (Taste the saltiness of the soup and add salt.) If the soup is not ruddy enough, add some soy sauce to adjust the color. Cook for half an hour and turn off the heat. Soak the eggs in the five-spice sauce until they are delicious.
