Big steamed stuffed buns with meat filling
Overview
My favorite food is the big buns steamed by my mother. At home, my mother will prepare whatever she wants to eat like a princess and put it on the table. When I go out, I have to do it myself! I found a lot of posts on the Internet about steamed buns stuffed with meat fillings. I tried it once and it was very hard to eat. I asked my mother for advice on a video online. After some guidance from my mother, the taste was indeed unusual. Because I made it at night and I was too short on time, I didn’t pay attention to the appearance, but it tasted great!

Ingredients
Steps
-
Chop onion, ginger and garlic and set aside
-
Heat oil in a wok, turn off the heat when the oil is hot, add green onions and sauté until fragrant, add an appropriate amount of soy sauce to color, then add minced meat, ginger, garlic and seasonings and stir-fry for a few times. Since I had frozen the minced meat in the refrigerator before, it took a long time to defrost and stir-fry, so it is better to buy it now and cook it now
-
Take out the mixed and fermented dough and knead it into a dough with no air bubbles and a smooth surface
-
Cut the dough into small pieces of moderate size, and then roll it into a dough of moderate thickness, not too big, because it will undergo secondary fermentation after wrapping, and it will expand when steamed in a pot
-
Hold the dough with your left hand and put in the meat filling, and start to pinch the folds along the edge of the dough with your right hand, so that the buns are wrapped
-
Leave the wrapped buns for a few minutes for secondary fermentation. I temporarily found a plastic bag, as it will stick, so it is best to use a special kitchen cloth

The steamed buns should be put into the pot with water, and do not open them in the middle, otherwise they will turn black and hard, so they say. Steam them in the pot for about 25 minutes and then they are ready. In order to prevent the buns from shrinking, it is recommended to turn off the heat and wait for about 2 minutes before opening the lid. In this way, the fresh buns are ready to be cooked! The upper left corner is the first steamed bun I steamed, and the dough turned out quite well! The buns are ready to eat~
