Spread the walnut kernels flatly on a baking sheet and place in the oven on the middle rack at 180 degrees for about 3-5 minutes. Roast until fragrant.

Place the roasted walnuts into a plastic bag, lightly crush them with a rolling pin, and set aside.

Put the vegetable oil, beaten eggs and fine sugar into a container and stir evenly. (In order to make the walnuts more fragrant, I added lard)

Mix flour, baking powder and baking soda evenly.

Sieve.

Add the chopped walnuts to the sifted flour and mix well.

Fold the flour into the vegetable oil mixture.

Knead into dough.

Take a small piece of dough and roll it into a small ball. Then flatten the balls and place them on the baking sheet.

Brush a layer of egg wash on the surface.

Place in the preheated oven, middle rack, 180 degrees, about 15 minutes. Copy until the surface is golden brown.
