  1. Add other ingredients except red dates into a basin, knead into a smooth dough, set aside and cover with a damp cloth for 5 minutes.

  4. Stack three portions of dough. Do not put chopped red dates on one portion of the dough. Use a rolling pin to roll out the stacked dough into the size of a 6-inch round mold.

  5. Put the rolled dough into the mold, press it tightly along the edge of the mold, and garnish with some red dates. Set it aside and cover it with a damp cloth to let the dough ferment until it doubles in size.
