Hakka Yong Tau Foo

Overview

I used to like this dish very much, and I would always order it when I went to restaurants. Later I found out that I can do it at home and it’s not difficult either.

Steps

  1. Wash and dry the tofu and cut into large pieces. Use a knife to cut a rectangle in the middle, and use a spoon to carefully scoop out the middle part.

  2. I used semi-fat and lean minced meat, added chicken powder, salt, sugar, cooking wine, soy sauce, pepper and starch

  3. Stir thoroughly

  4. Forget about stuffing meat into the tofu, stuff it little by little, don’t stuff too much at once.

  5. Stuffed tofu

  6. Heat a pan, add oil, put tofu in the pan and fry, meat side down.

  7. Fry each side until golden brown

  8. Half a bowl of water, add oyster sauce, soy sauce and salt.

  9. Pour the juice into the pot, drain the water and remove from the pot.

  10. Top with chopped green onions and serve!
