Hawthorn with frost
Overview
The sour and sweet sugar snowballs sold on the street are loved by adults and children. In fact, they are just frosted hawthorn and sell for 12 yuan a pound. It is economical and affordable to do your own cleaning at home. Generally, the ratio of frosting sugar to water is 2:1. A thin layer of white sugar should be hung. This frosting should be thicker, so the ratio of sugar will be a little more.

Soak hawthorn in salt water, wash and drain or dry with kitchen paper. (There is no need to remove the core without removing the pedicle)

Pour a little water into the pot and add sugar.

Large bubbles indicate more moisture. Turn to low heat and simmer the sugar.

Boil the water out of the sugar until you see the bubbles shrinking from large to small and the color is bright.

Pour in the hawthorn.

Weigh the pot so that every hawthorn is coated with syrup.

Turn off the heat and stir-fry evenly with a spatula.

If you keep stirring with a shovel, the sand will return.

The more you shovel it, the looser it becomes. After cooling, it turns into frosting and hangs evenly on it.
