Homemade Pizza Sauce Pasta Sauce
Overview
I love this sauce. The pizza base can be topped with pasta. I can even add a little bit of hot sauce to the hand pancakes and smear them on, and they'll still be delicious. If you like it, you can even add some when the beef brisket is stewed with tomatoes.

Ingredients
Steps
-
This time I made a larger quantity. Two large tomatoes and one larger onion. Heinz ketchup (optional for a nice color) some minced garlic. I didn’t include basil, sugar and salt.
-
Melt the butter over low heat. Using olive oil can also feel lower fat, but the sauce itself has no calories, and butter is more fragrant. Besides, you can’t eat much at a time.
-
Add minced garlic and saute until fragrant
-
Add onions and saute until fragrant. I used purple onions, which have more anthocyanins and are better.
-
Pour in small pieces of tomatoes and fry until soft
-
Pour in some water but not too much.
-
Cover the pot and simmer for a while.
-
When the soup is almost reduced, add appropriate amount of tomato paste, sugar and salt. It's going to look great. Notice there is sugar and salt in Heinz here. So add less sugar and salt yourself.
-
Add basil. The aroma suddenly came out. Stir well.
-
Place in a clean, water-free and oil-free crisper. Let cool, cover and store in the refrigerator. Because it contains sugar, if you pay attention to handling it cleanly every time you eat it, it can be stored for a week or two without going bad. Of course, it is recommended to cook less to make it fresher. If you like the fluidity of the sauce, you can smash it in a food processor after making it. This will be better. I personally like this kind of grainy texture and feel satisfied, so I didn’t use it.
