Ingredients
Steps
-
After the pumpkin is steamed, sift and take 100 grams of pumpkin puree for later use
-
Pour 200 grams of flour, 100 grams of pumpkin puree, 30 grams of caster sugar, and 2 grams of yeast into a bowl and use chopsticks to stir into a flocculent form
-
Then grab it into a ball with your hands
-
Move to a kneading mat and knead into a smooth dough, then cover with plastic wrap and ferment for an hour
-
Ferment until doubled in size, take out the exhaust gas
-
After deflating, divide into eight equal parts and roll into balls (you can also add your favorite filling)
-
Take four cotton threads about 20 cm long, dip them in oil and arrange them into a "meter" shape
-
Place the rounded dough on the center point of the "rice" shaped cotton thread
-
Lift the cotton thread one by one and tie it, remember not to tie it too tightly
-
Use chopsticks to poke a small hole in the center for easy decoration after steaming
-
You can also plug in the holes first and then wind the wire to make the same pumpkin shape
-
After everything is done, put it on an oiled steaming tray and let it rise for 20 to 30 minutes (the time depends on the degree of proofing)
-
After it has risen to 1.5 times its size, put in cold water and steam over high heat for 20 minutes
-
Leave the lid on for five minutes, then open the pot and let it dry until warm. Remove all the cotton threads
-
Insert cookie sticks as pumpkin handles
-
You can also insert leaves. Wouldn’t it be more realistic?
