How to make American apple pie (apple tart)
Overview
This apple pie has a moderate sweetness and is a great choice as an afternoon tea accompaniment. The operation is very simple, just pay attention to the thickness of the tart shell.

Steps
-
Mix flour, sugar, salt, butter (softened and diced) evenly. Shape into bread crumbs with your hands.
-
Pour in the egg mixture evenly. Knead into dough with your hands. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for about 1 hour.
-
Dice the apples and cook in a pot until thick (if you like the taste sweeter, you can add some sugar).
-
Sprinkle some flour on the bottom before rolling out the pie crust. The pie crust is relatively wet and will stick to the bottom easily. A little caution is needed here. I made a 7-inch pie crust, and rolled it out until it was about 4cm larger than the mold.
-
Put it into the mold and press it around. Use a rolling pin to roll out the excess pie crust. Poke some air holes in the bottom.
-
Pour the cooked diced apples into the pie plate, slice the other apple and place them neatly. Put in the oven at 190 degrees for about 40 minutes.
