New Year’s cold dishes are also very particular in our hometown. Generally, there are more than two types of ingredients in a cold dish. This way, the quantity of each type is small, so it can cater to different people’s tastes. I braised the cold cuts of my family’s New Year’s dishes today. The braised vegetables can be braised one day in advance, making it easier to prepare the New Year’s dinner. Friends, if you like it, you can try it. If you want to have a rich sauce, you can add dark soy sauce for color. I just don't have dark soy sauce here, so I just use ordinary soy sauce to prepare it, but the light color looks quite tasty.

Wash and peel the cuttlefish and prepare a portion of dried tofu.

Mix a spice according to your personal preference. I used star anise, peppercorns, ginger, and dried chili peppers.

Prepare a cooking wine and soy sauce sauce, which can be seasoned with light soy sauce and dark soy sauce for color.

Add water to the rice cooker, wash the spices and add them.

Turn on the power and select the porridge cooking mode, and cook for twenty minutes so that the spices will develop.

Put the dried beans into the pot first and simmer for ten minutes.

Then put the cuttlefish into the pot and simmer for two minutes.
