Overview
Vegetable prices in Guangzhou have been rising, with a leaf of lettuce costing more than ten yuan per pound. Lettuce, a seasonal leafy vegetable, contains a large amount of vitamin A, vitamin B1, vitamin B2 and a large amount of calcium, iron, and other nutrients. It is a top-quality raw vegetable and is known as phoenix tail. Pairing lettuce with fermented bean curd is a common practice in Guangdong.
