Qiqiaoguo
Overview
Chinese Valentine's Day? I only heard about this festival many years later, and I have never had anything to do with it. It is said that people at that time begged for luck on this day and made a kind of pasta called Qiaoguo. It seems that most of them are fried. Although sweets and fried foods may look tempting, it’s better to avoid them. . . Until I saw such a clever fruit, fermented pasta, fried and baked, it was a bit like Guokui, but it was sweeter and smaller. Suddenly I became interested. Although there is no such special mold, there is a wooden mooncake mold that can be used to fake it, but the size, shape and pattern are different. Decided to get rid of the sugar. Maybe Qiaoguo is a sweet treat, but I am afraid that there will be no market for this sweet thing that looks like a fancy mini white noodle pot helmet. Simply remove the sugar and hope it has the connotation of a white-faced pot helmet. However, it is not a white-faced pot helmet after all. The dough that was made only with eggs was a bit hard. I was afraid that it would not be soft enough, so I let it rise for more than 20 minutes after shaping. When I saw it was swelling, I put it in the pot. Simmer over low heat, requires patience. After being baked, the light yellow shell looks a bit fragrant. However, maybe this guy still has some flavor, right? It doesn't want to be sweet, maybe adding some salt would be good too?
