Steamed taro with chopped pepper ribs
Overview
The weather is getting hotter, and the fumes and heat in the kitchen are a headache for many housewives. It’s the same for me. Although I like cooking, I don’t like the smell of fumes, so I often make steamed dishes for my family to eat. This can reduce the smell of fumes in the kitchen, and while steaming, you can also do something you like to do, killing two birds with one stone.

Ingredients
Steps
-
Wash the pork ribs and drain, add cooking wine, salt and light soy sauce and mix well.
-
Chop garlic and tempeh.
-
Saute onion and ginger until fragrant.
-
Pour in the chopped garlic and tempeh, stir-fry over low heat until fragrant, then add the chopped pepper and stir-fry.
-
Pour the fried seasoning into the pork ribs and marinate them.
-
Bought small taro. (The little taro I bought this time is very good)
-
Peel, wash and cut into small pieces.
-
Add the chopped taro to the marinated pork ribs and mix well.
-
Steam in a pot of boiling water for about 40 minutes. The fastest way is to steam it in a pressure cooker for 15 minutes. If it is easier, you can also steam it in a rice cooker. If the amount is not too large, cut the taro ribs into small pieces. Generally, the ribs will be cooked when the rice is cooked. (I made a bit too much this time, so I had to steam them separately.)
