Overview

I remember when I was a child, my mother would always buy a pound of barbecued pork from the barbecue restaurant downstairs and take it home every time I passed the exam. The hometown dishes that I miss endlessly when I grow up, barbecued pork is always one of them.

  1. Get some fat and skinless pork, and prepare as much pork as you want. The fatter it is, the more flavorful it will be

  2. Prepare barbecued pork sauce, honey (or sugar), minced garlic, and a little light soy sauce (can be omitted), mix well, and spread the sauce evenly.

  3. Marinate in the refrigerator overnight, or at room temperature for an afternoon, flipping and pricking the meat with a fork to fully absorb the sauce.

  4. Take the tin foil and fold it as shown in the picture. Arrange the barbecued pork and brush with a layer of honey and barbecued pork sauce. Do not leave a large amount of used marinade sauce on the foil plate as it is too diluted and contains too much water.

  5. Oven at 400~420 degrees Fahrenheit for 30 minutes in the front and 30 minutes in the back. When turning over in the middle, brush a layer of barbecued pork sauce and honey on the back. If the meat is relatively lean, the time and temperature need to be adjusted according to the oven conditions. Watch it for 20 minutes and you won’t miss it

  6. Plate. It's delicious when eaten directly, stir-fried, or cooked as noodles.
