Overview

Shanghai vegetable rice is salty and sour rice in Shanghai dialect. It is a delicacy loved by every household in Shanghai. Shanghai vegetables, bacon and most importantly, lard must be used here. The taste is really delicious. . . I specially ordered a big bag of vegetables grown by my friend. I am really thick-skinned, haha. . There was a lot of lard left over from making the egg yolk cakes before, which came in handy. This is the star of Shanghai vegetable rice! The only thing I don’t have is bacon at home, so I can only use sausages instead, and the taste is just as great!
