Christmas Gingerbread
Overview
After 5 hours of hard work, the finished product is Christmas gingerbread. People who have eaten it say it is pretty good and quite delicious, but unfortunately I don’t like it myself. Merry Christmas to everyone. I used Junzhi's recipe.

Steps
-
Have materials ready. Ingredients: 250g low-gluten flour, 50g butter, 30g water, 25g brown sugar powder, 50g powdered sugar, 35g honey, 25g eggs, 1/4 tsp cinnamon powder (1.25ML), 1 tsp ginger powder (5ML)
-
Pour all ingredients for gingerbread into a bowl. Mix and knead with your hands to form a dough. When you first start kneading the dough, the surface of the dough will be rough. Continue to knead patiently for a while until the surface of the dough is smooth. Place the kneaded dough in the refrigerator to rest for 1 hour.
-
Place the relaxed dough on the chopping board and roll it into a thin sheet about 0.3CM thick. (If the cutting board is not big enough, you can divide the dough into several small portions and roll them out in batches)
-
Prepare various molds
-
Place the carved gingerbread cookies on the baking sheet, beat the eggs and mix well with water to form an egg-water liquid. Brush a layer of egg wash on the gingerbread, let it rest for about 20 minutes, and then brush another layer of egg wash.
-
Put it into the preheated oven, heat the middle rack to 160 degrees, and bake for about 12 minutes until it reaches the color you like, then take it out. After the cookies are baked and cooled, you can start decorating them.
-
Mix the egg whites and powdered sugar and beat, add lemon juice, continue to beat to form meringue. (This step is very simple, you don’t have to use an electric egg beater, just use a manual egg beater). The thickness of the finished frosting can be adjusted as needed.
-
According to your own needs, add different colors of food coloring to the frosting to make different colors of frosting. The frosting for the background color can be placed directly in the bowl, and the frosting used for drawing lines can of course be put into a piping bag.
