Ingredients
Steps
-
Wash the glutinous rice and soak it in water overnight.
-
Buy pork with a little fat, cut it into equal-sized pieces according to your preference, and marinate it overnight with salt, light soy sauce, sugar, five-spice powder and a little rice wine.
-
The eyebrow beans are also washed and soaked overnight. You can also replace them with peeled mung beans or other beans according to your preference.
-
Soak the dried mushrooms and cut them in half for later use.
-
Soak the rice dumpling leaves and aquatic plants in clean water first, then put them in the pot and boil them. After the water boils, boil them for another 10 minutes. Then wash them one by one and set aside for later use.
-
Pour the glutinous rice and eyebrow beans into the pot, add salt, five-spice powder, and marinated meat soup, stir-fry over high heat for a while, then remove and let cool.
-
Take two to three rice dumpling leaves, with the smooth side facing up, stack them and fold them into a funnel shape from 1/3 of the leaf tip.
-
Scoop in a spoonful of rice, add a piece of pork, then put half a piece of shiitake mushroom, then spoon in another spoonful of rice to cover it, and press the rice tightly with a spoon.
-
Use your index finger and thumb to fold the rice dumpling leaves on both sides toward the middle, then fold down the remaining leaves, and fold the grown parts to the sides. Remember to use a little force with your hands, and finally tie them up with water plants.
-
Finally, put the rice dumplings into the pot, pour in water, the water must cover all the rice dumplings, bring to a boil over high heat, then turn to medium heat and cook for two hours. During this period, add water once or twice to ensure that the rice dumplings are completely covered with water.
