【Bread machine homemade strawberry jam】
Overview
Making homemade jam is actually a very simple thing. Fresh fruit, sugar, and two simple basic ingredients can make a delicious meal without any additives. Of course, you can also add various vanilla, honey, maltose, etc. according to your own preferences and the different gum, sugar and moisture contents of the fruit to make handmade jams with different flavors. The method and process of making jam is also very simple. Basically, even primary school students can complete the cleaning, pickling, boiling and preservation. The only headache is the splash of juice during the cooking process. To be honest, if you get burned by the juice that splashes out, it will feel really unpleasant! So this time I used a bread machine to make jam. Although it took a little more time, it avoided the risk of being splashed.

Steps
-
Have all materials ready. Rub the surface of the lemon with fine salt and soak it in light salt water for 30 minutes;
-
Soak the strawberries in light salt water for 15 minutes;
-
Wash and drain the water, then cut into pieces. The size can be whatever you like;
-
Drain the surface of the lemon and use a lemon zest knife to rub the zest into the container. Add sugar, salt, honey, cinnamon, all the lemon juice and half the rum;
-
Mix well, cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight. After refrigeration, a lot of juice will release from the strawberries;
-
Pour all the ingredients into the bread bucket of the bread machine, and then add the remaining half of the rum;
-
Cover the surface of the bread barrel with a layer of tin foil to prevent juice from splashing during the cooking process;
-
Select "Jam Program" and let the bread machine work by itself;
-
After the program ends, depending on the jam situation, choose whether to perform another jam program. I did this procedure twice. In short, just get it to the consistency you want;
-
Put the jam into a glass bottle that has been sterilized and dried in advance while it is hot, and should not be more than 9 minutes full;
-
Tighten the lid, turn it upside down and let cool;
-
After completely cooled, store in a cool place or in the refrigerator.
