As a southerner, I grew up eating rice dumplings with four corners. Now that I have left home and come to the north, I can’t find that Dragon Boat Festival flavor. Under the guidance of my mother’s remote phone call, I also completed my debut. After the baby is born, I can also proudly take the baby to celebrate the Dragon Boat Festival

  1. Prepare the rice dumpling leaves. Boil the rice dumpling leaves in boiling water. After the leaves are completely soft, take them out after a minute or two and soak them in cold water. Wipe the front and back of the rice dumpling leaves with a soft cloth. Wash them and soak them in cold water for later use.

  2. Prepare the meat. Cut the meat into cubes about 3cm wide and about half a finger long. Stir in the Haitian soybean paste and green onions. Stir evenly. It is best to taste the saltiness with your tongue. No need to add salt to the meat. Stir and set aside

  3. Prepare the rice. Soak the glutinous rice in warm water for ten minutes. If you feel the rice pulp is the best, wash it with cold water several times, control the water and put it in a basin. Stir in salt, light soy sauce, and dark soy sauce. Stir evenly and taste the saltiness. Adjust it to suit your taste. Don't make it too bland. Let it sit for ten minutes to allow the rice to absorb the flavor

  11. To cook the rice dumplings, put water in a large pot and put the rice dumplings into cold water. The water should cover the rice dumplings. Boil over high heat for about an hour and a half. Take one and taste it. If it is cooked, turn off the heat and take it out. If it is not cooked, cook it again until it is cooked. The rice dumplings must be cooked the first time they are cooked in the pot. Afterwards, they will remain raw no matter how you cook them.
