Glutinous rice cakes with red bean paste (grilled with sticky rice)
Overview
In the Northeast, when I was a child, my mother would use a big iron pot to bake it in the winter. She would bake a lot at a time and freeze the leftovers. The next time she ate them, she would steam them in a pot and dip them in sugar. Nowadays, fewer and fewer people make this kind of traditional food. If they want to eat it, they just buy it ready-made in the market, but it always doesn’t taste like home. In fact, although there are no big iron pots like those in the countryside now, it still feels the same when trying to make it yourself.
