Homemade dried bitter melon
Overview
Bitter melon is cold in nature and bitter in taste, and enters the heart, lungs, and stomach. It has the functions of clearing away heat and quenching thirst, lowering blood pressure, lowering blood lipids, beautifying the skin, and promoting metabolism. Bitter melon is rich in vitamin B1, vitamin C and minerals. Long-term consumption can keep energy high, lower blood sugar, improve immunity, and is also very beneficial in treating acne. Fresh bitter melon can be used to make a variety of home-cooked dishes, but bitter melon is not available all year round. It is good to make dried bitter melon and drink scented tea occasionally. There are many varieties of bitter melon. Wild bitter melon is suitable for making bitter melon tea, but wild bitter melon is rare. I chose this local variety of bitter melon, which has a stronger bitter taste and is not very thick in texture. The finished product is quite good.
