Healthy savory yam cake
Overview
If you want to eat healthy yam cakes, you can DIY them at home. Yams are known to be good health ingredients. Bake them with dried almonds. The finished product will be both refreshing and fragrant.

Take 160 grams of cooked yam and pound it into yam paste.

Add 3 cooked duck egg yolks and continue to mash to combine.

Add 1g pepper and 5g salt, mix well and set aside.

Mix 100g of room temperature softened butter and 170g of cake flour.

Knead until smooth dough forms.

Mix the yam paste and butter dough and knead them evenly.

Wrap the dough in a plastic bag and use a rolling pin to roll it out into 1 cm squares.

Move it to the baking pan, tear off the plastic wrap, and brush with a layer of egg wash.

Add a variety of dried fruits and sesame seeds you like. I used walnuts and almonds. Press the walnut almonds slightly with your fingers. Preheat the oven to 170 degrees.

Place in the middle rack of the oven and bake at 170 degrees for 25 minutes.
