Quinoa Fruit Salad

Quinoa Fruit Salad

Overview

The quinoa purchased online arrived. I happened to be off work today, so I made a quinoa fruit salad for my son. It was my first time to eat quinoa, and it felt pretty good. There was nothing uncomfortable about the taste. It had a very fragrant taste and a good texture, a little chewy. Yesterday I asked my husband to buy kiwi fruit, but he misheard and bought dragon fruit, so he had to make do with it. Cherry tomatoes, dragon fruit, and quinoa are combined into a fruit salad. The first try is not bad. I will try other methods next time. Although relatively speaking, the price of quinoa is a bit high, if it really has the legendary nutritional value, it is still worth it. Quinoa comes from a foreign country. As the saying goes, it is rare but valuable, so don’t waste it when eating! Quinoa (scientific name: Chenopodium quinoawilld) is native to the Andes Mountains of South America. It is the main traditional food of the Inca indigenous people. It has a cultivation history of more than 5,000-7,000 years. Due to its rich and comprehensive nutritional value, it nourished the Inca people. The ancient Incas called it the mother of food. Quinoa seeds mainly come in black, red, gray and white colors. Among them, black, red and gray seeds are smaller but have better taste. Quinoa was used by NASA in the 1980s as space food for astronauts. The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations believes that quinoa is the only single plant food that can meet the basic nutritional needs of the human body, and officially recommends quinoa as the most perfect complete nutritional food for humans.
