Banana buns where you can eat the skin
Overview
I bought a box of mangoes, which are golden in color and very sweet. I suddenly wanted to use them to make the skin of banana steamed buns. They must be more delicious than those made with pumpkins. I give you a thumbs up for this idea! I found a piece of dark chocolate, melted it and brushed it on the surface of the banana buns for decoration.

Steps
-
Prepare ingredients.
-
First make the white banana dough, add the yeast to the milk and melt it.
-
Add flour and stir into dough, then knead into smooth dough.
-
Then make the yellow banana peel dough. Peel the ripe mango and cut into cubes.
-
Put the mango in a food processor, add a little water and make a puree.
-
Pour the puree into a basin and add yeast. If you like sweetness, you can add some sugar. The elderly in my family have high blood sugar, so I only use the sweetness of mango.
-
Place the kneaded dough in a warm place to ferment. The dough will be slightly harder than usual dough, making it easier to shape.
-
Ferment until it doubles in size and honeycombs appear. Don't overdo it, which will affect the styling.
-
Roll into long strips as thick as your thumb and as big as your palm. Set aside.
-
Take out the white dough and knead it evenly.
-
Also deflate the yellow dough and knead it evenly, roll it into a thin dough, and then brush it with oil. Brushing the oil can make the steamed banana buns easier to peel and prevent them from sticking.
-
Brush the yellow dough with oil.
-
Take a piece of white dough and place it on the yellow dough. Use a cutter to cut out a size that can wrap the white dough.
-
Pinch the two sides of the yellow dough tightly and arrange it into a curved banana shape. Then pinch two more edges on the surface and pinch the root into a slightly thicker banana stem.
-
Cut the remaining dough into pieces and wrap them one by one.
-
Unwrap the dark chocolate and place it in a bowl. You won't be able to use even a small piece of chocolate.
-
Place in the microwave for a minute to soften the chocolate.
-
Dip a silicone brush into the softened chocolate and break it up.
-
Brush the chocolate on the raw banana buns. Don't brush it too evenly or thickly. If it's too thick, it won't look like it.
-
Place in a steamer to ferment until doubled in size.
-
Add water to the steamer, steam over high heat for 13 minutes, then turn off the heat and steam for 2 minutes.
-
It’s out of the pot.
-
The first time I made highly simulated banana buns was a success.
-
You can eat this banana peel!
