【Luzhou Pig Cake】
Overview
Luzhou pig cake is a very popular snack in Luzhou. Every year when I go home, I have to taste it at Xiao Alley, Charity Road. In the countryside, we use it as a snack every year when we are threshing rice. Because in the countryside, we get up very early in the morning when threshing rice. We eat some kimchi porridge in the morning. We get hungry quickly. After 9 o'clock, the host has to make a lot of pig cakes. Pig cake is mainly made of glutinous rice noodles, which are digested slowly and are very resistant to hunger. The fillings in rural areas often use pork belly, bean sprouts, dried tofu, and wild green onions. It only takes about 10 minutes to make it. My grandma used bacon to make pig cakes, which were very sweet and glutinous. When I was a kid, I went back to eat pig cakes every year. Now I am drooling just thinking about it
