Medicinal black-bone chicken soup
Overview
Recently, I have been picking up traditional Chinese medicine for health reasons. This week I went to the pharmacy to pick up medicine. While I was waiting, I saw a young man coming in. He said to the boss: Pick up the ingredients for making pigeon soup! The boss picked everything up skillfully. I took a look and found that there were Cordyceps flowers, astragalus, Codonopsis pilosula, red dates, wolfberries, yam slices, etc., and there were some medicinal materials that I didn’t know what they were. I also asked the boss to pick up two pairs for me to make soup. When I drink it, the strong flavor in the soup belongs to angelica. I don’t really like the taste of angelica. However, apart from not liking the taste, this soup still tastes good. This is also a very nourishing soup for women.

Ingredients
Steps
-
Because the medicinal materials are prepared by the pharmacy, the specific grams are not clear. I estimate that each is about 3 to 5 grams. The red dates are very small, with 10 pieces;
-
Wash the black-bone chicken and cut into large pieces;
-
Blanch the black-bone chicken and set aside. I must blanch fresh poultry, just like scalding dishes with boiling water before eating out. It’s a personal habit;
-
Wash all medicinal materials to remove loose soil, slice ginger into pieces and set aside;
-
Wash the Cordyceps flowers and soak them in warm water until soft;
-
Lycium barbarum can also be soaked in warm water;
-
Transfer the blanched black-bone chicken to the casserole;
-
Add cordyceps flowers and ginger slices;
-
Add other medicinal materials, bring to a boil over high heat, then turn to minimum heat and simmer for two hours;
-
Finally add the wolfberry, simmer for another 5 minutes and then turn off the heat;
-
Just add salt to taste before drinking;
-
Finished product.
