Imitation Starbucks red bean waffles

Imitation Starbucks red bean waffles

Overview

This cake is a red bean waffle that I ate at Starbucks and I made it using local ingredients according to some of my own recipes and ideas. The ingredients are very good, easy to assemble, very delicious, simple to make and very short in time. It is a perfect pairing for afternoon tea! Really delicious! It is very delicious! In fact, the texture is almost the same as scones, but the name is different~ Ah, this can actually be called: red bean and sweet potato waffles or double red scones? Hahahaha, they are just soft and slightly crispy cakes anyway. A few on a sunny afternoon are guaranteed to satisfy you! But because I made it too quickly, I forgot to take pictures of the process. It was so delicious. I remembered to take pictures after finishing it...haha, I couldn’t help but share this delicious dish! 😊😊😊🤗

Steps

  1. Put the flour, salt, 20g sugar and baking powder into a large bowl and mix well. Then add the butter and corn oil and rub it into crumbs like this

  2. Then add eggs and milk, use a mixer knife or your hands to knead the flour into a ball and let it rest for 10 minutes (leave a little egg liquid for later use)

  3. I have leftover red beans in the refrigerator and take them out to defrost in advance (the red beans are soaked for a few hours in advance, then put in not too much water, added with sugar, and simmered in a casserole over low heat for more than an hour)

  4. Because I was too lazy to make red bean paste, I used sweet potato puree instead of sweet potato puree. Peel the sweet potatoes, steam them, crush them with a spoon and make a puree. Add an appropriate amount of milk powder and sugar according to your personal taste. This can be done in 10 minutes in front of you 😂

  5. Divide the dough into two and press it into two cakes with your hands. Spread the sweet potato puree evenly on one of the cakes (leave about 1 cm on the edge without spreading the filling for easy closing). Cover the other cake and then knead the two cakes together and call it one cake

  6. Brush a layer of egg wash on the cake, then add a layer of flour on top of the red beans. Press lightly with your hands to make the beans stick a little tighter to prevent them from falling off

  7. Then he roughly cut it into eight pieces with a knife! 😄😄
