Overview

Usually the elbow is stewed whole, which is tasteless and needs to be dipped in various condiments. Today I want to cut the elbow into large pieces and braise it, just like braised pork. It is delicious and easy for children to chew, making it easy to digest.

  1. Blanch the elbows with cooking wine. Heat the oil in a pan and fry the sugar until it turns brown. Adjust the heat to medium-low. Wait for the sugar to bubble in the pan, then add the blanched elbows and stir-fry.

  2. Turn on high heat, pour soy sauce, cooking wine, dark soy sauce, stewed meat ingredients, green onions and ginger and stir-fry until the pot is almost dry, add boiling water, add more to cover the elbows.

  3. After the water boils, put the elbows into the slow cooker and simmer on the meat setting for three hours. (It is best to use a casserole pot to stew the meat. If you don’t use a wok, you can also stew it, and the time will be longer.)

  4. After the meat is cooked, add three spoons of salt, pick out the onions, ginger and other seasonings, and simmer for two hours before serving.
