I have used an oven to make pumpkin pie once before. The oven dried out the moisture on the skin and it tasted a bit dry. This time I fried it in a pan. The outside was charred and the inside was soft and the taste was much better. The method is also very simple.

Have a piece of fresh pumpkin ready.

Cut the pumpkin into slices and steam them in the pot.
