Overview

Follow the recipe of Zero One Degree 0511’s Steamed Chicken with Mushrooms. It looked simple and easy to use, so I gave it a try. The quick-frozen chicken legs in the supermarket felt stale and very expensive, so I chose chicken breasts that cost 7.5 yuan per pound, and I picked 3 pieces for a total of 8.2 yuan (recently, my wallet is tight when I buy and make, so I can only order carefully). Generally, I like to make fried chicken steak with chicken breast. I hope this tampering will not taste too bad.

  1. Ready. Chicken breast (wait to defrost), mushrooms (cut into small pieces), quail eggs (there is some leftover salt-baked flavor from the market the day before yesterday, you can ignore the addition I made), minced garlic and ginger (there is no green onion or chopped green onion).

  2. Add water and cooking wine to the chicken breast to defrost it quickly and remove the blood and fishy smell.

  3. Cut along the direction and then vertically, and cut it as you want, until it becomes small pieces that are easy to eat, but not too broken.

  4. Sprinkle in starch and mix well. I feel bad for disposable plastic gloves, so I use chopsticks instead. (You have to budget carefully to live your life!)

Pour in the mushroom cubes, quail eggs, minced garlic and ginger, and various seasonings: 2 tablespoons of salt + appropriate amount of soy sauce, oyster sauce, cooking wine, 1 tablespoon of peanut oil, and cumin powder (you can probably pour a small amount of them, so weigh them yourself). Stir well, I use chopsticks.

  6. The original recipe calls for marinating for 15 minutes. I was preparing for breakfast the next day after dinner, so I marinated it in the refrigerator overnight. This is to test whether the steamer can be put down.

  7. Finished product. I marinated it the night before yesterday, but the last step was missing yesterday morning. When I went to work, they steamed half of it and then took it out to stew, so the finished product was very bad - it was a waste of time. There was some left over from last night to bring for lunch today.
