  1. Put all the ingredients into the bread machine bucket and set the custom kneading setting for 15 minutes. You don’t need to knead for too long to make fried dough sticks.

  2. While kneading the dough, take a fresh-keeping bag, drop 2 drops of oil into the bag, knead it with your hands, so that the oil covers the bag, and set aside.

  3. The dough will be kneaded as shown in the picture. It will feel very sticky and wet. The fried dough sticks can also be made with ordinary flour, but I feel that the dough made with high flour tastes better. Everyone has different tastes. You can also try ordinary flour.

  4. Apply some oil to your hands, put the kneaded dough into the bag you prepared before. You don’t need to assemble the dough, just seal the bag, put it on a plate and put it in the refrigerator.

  5. I usually knead the dough at night and put it in the refrigerator until I take it out the next morning. I sprinkle some dry flour on the table first, and then put the dough directly on it. Remember not to knead the dough any more, or it will become dull and unable to fry.

  6. Sprinkle some dry flour on the poured dough. Don't be afraid of too much. As long as you don't knead the dough, it will be fine.

  7. Spread the dry flour up and down, and directly use a rolling pin to roll it into a long thick dough. The household pot is not big, so don't roll the dough too wide, otherwise it will be too long and difficult to fry.

  8. Sprinkle dry flour on both sides of the knife to prevent sticking. Cut the dough into two finger-width strips as shown in the picture. Remember not to sprinkle dry flour on the rolled out dough, otherwise the two pieces will not stick together for frying. You can only sprinkle flour on the knife surface to prevent sticking.

  9. Take a piece of dough, cover the other side without dry flour, and press lightly in the middle with chopsticks to make the two pieces stick together, and the dough sticks are ready.

  10. The oil pan must be heated before making the dough sticks. If the oil temperature is too low, the fried dough sticks will not be fried well. Moreover, the dough sticks should be made before putting the dough in the oil pan. Just fry one strip at a time, otherwise the dough sticks will be too tight and the fried dough sticks will not be beautiful.

  11. The temperature of the oil should be such that the green embryo can float immediately after putting it in. Before putting the raw embryo into the pot, hold the two ends tightly with both hands. Remember that the two ends must be tightly stuck to prevent it from falling apart. Then pull the two ends to the length that the pot can be lowered. Shake off the dry powder and put it in the pot to start frying.

  12. The moment the embryos float to the surface, use chopsticks to quickly flip and fry them like beating and shaking, so that each side of the fried dough sticks can be evenly heated.

  13. Don't be too quick, you won't be able to fry the fried dough sticks well if you put a few at a time. After frying the fried dough sticks until they are golden brown, clamp them up and place them upright to allow the excess oil to drain away, which is also good for heat dissipation.
