  1. Dissolve the yeast in warm water in advance and let it sit for a while. Then take 500 grams of flour, slowly pour the yeast water into it, and use chopsticks to stir into a floc while pouring the water.

  3. Let the dough rise in a warm place until it doubles in size. Dip your finger in flour and poke a hole. If it doesn't shrink or collapse, it means the dough is ready.

  4. The fermented dough is fully deflated. Use a knife to cut the cross section. If there are no big bubbles, it means the exhaust is completely discharged.

  5. Use a rolling pin to roll the dough into a rectangular shape. First brush a thin layer of oil on the dough, then evenly sprinkle with walnut and sesame powder. (If you like salty taste, you can sprinkle a layer of salt on top. Or add salt to the rolled sesame walnut powder and mix evenly)

  7. Cut into small pieces about 2cm wide. Place the shaped Hanamaki dough into a steamer and ferment for 15-20 minutes. Put enough water in the pot, bring to a boil over high heat, turn to low heat, and steam for about 15 minutes. Simmer for another 5 minutes and open the lid.
