Choose old ginger, slice it and squeeze it into juice.

Cut the red dates and longan into small pieces. If you are particular about the taste of the ginger juice, you can filter it. Stew ginger juice, brown sugar, and Ophiopogon japonicus in water. After the sugar dissolves, add the red dates and dried longan and continue to simmer for half an hour.
