Dried shrimp blooms at night
Overview
Today’s dish was something I often ate when I was a kid. Shanghainese people don’t know why they call it night blooming. We call it flat pu here, but its real name is: gourd. People in Suzhou especially like to bloom at night. They think it tastes particularly delicious. If you don’t have any at home, you can use dried shrimp instead. It tastes good too!
