Steps
-
Wash the spareribs and cut into strips.
-
Soak in cold water for 3 hours, changing the water every hour.
-
Mince 3 slices of ginger and 8 cloves of garlic.
-
In a bowl, combine marinade ingredients: hoisin sauce, oyster sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic and ginger, and water
-
Lay the ribs flat, pour in the marinade, place another 6 slices of ginger, wrap in plastic wrap and marinate in the refrigerator until use.
-
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Take out the ribs, place them in a baking pan (a vessel that can be safely placed in the oven), and pour in all the marinade without leaving a drop. Cover with tin foil and bake in the oven for 1 hour and 15 minutes
-
When the time is up, remove the tin foil and continue baking for 20 minutes. Then increase the oven temperature to 200 degrees and bake for a final 20 minutes until the soup is cooked to your liking.
