Homemade onion oil
Overview
My mother-in-law planted too much green onion this year, so I couldn’t eat it all, so I made dried onions and saved some for seeds to be planted next time. The rest I used to make onion oil, which is a good seasoning for salads, noodles, soups, etc.

Ingredients
Steps
-
Peel off the outer skin of the dried onion, leaving the clean onion head, wash and drain
-
Put it into a food processor and grind it, don’t beat it into powder
-
Heat the pot, pour in the oil, and when it is heated for five minutes, add the onions. Stir frequently to prevent the onions from settling and sticking to the pot
-
Simmer over medium-low heat, stirring often. When the color of the onions turns light and golden, turn off the heat because the residual heat of the oil is still hot. When the temperature drops, the onion oil will be golden
