Bread machine version of homemade yogurt
Overview
I came up with this recipe after referring to several recipes, and it was very successful the first time I made it. I always thought it was difficult to make yogurt and didn't dare to try it. I didn't expect that this bread machine version of yogurt was a success. It has the consistency of old yogurt but is very smooth. It is a little more sour than the ones sold outside. The acidity of lactic acid bacteria should not be underestimated. It turns the originally sweet milk sour. Next time I will try using lactic acid bacteria starter.

Soak the container and stirring utensils in boiling water to sterilize them for a few minutes, then let the moisture in the container dry naturally.

Pour original yogurt, 500ml pure milk, and powdered sugar into the yogurt bucket of the bread machine, mix well with chopsticks or a whisk, then add the remaining 500ml pure milk and stir for about half a minute until completely mixed.

Put the yogurt bucket into the bread machine and select the yogurt function

After 8 hours (my bread machine is automatically set for 8 hours), the milk is in the shape of tofu, no whey is separated, and it is white and viscous. It is considered a success.

After making, put it in the refrigerator for 24 hours to passivate and taste better.
