Fried dough sticks

It’s been a long time since I’ve made fried dough sticks at home. If I think of eating fried dough sticks, I’ll do it!

Take a bowl and add medium flour. Dissolve the yeast with a small amount of warm water and add it to the flour

Add milk

Add salad oil

Add sugar and salt

Add half of the egg liquid

Knead into smooth dough

Place in the oven to ferment at low temperature for 30 minutes

Dissolve the baking soda in warm water, take out the fermented dough, dip it in with your hands and knead it into the dough in batches

Cover the dough and ferment again until doubled in size

Then let it rest for 15 minutes and roll into long strips

Cut into 2cm wide pieces, stack the 2 pieces together, press in the middle with chopsticks, and finally wake up

Add oil to a small pot and heat over medium heat until it is 70% hot. Add the fried dough stick embryos and gently stretch the two ends with your hands to pinch them tightly

Fry until golden brown

Remove and use kitchen towel to absorb excess oil

You can sprinkle some powdered sugar when eating, and you will have frosted fried dough sticks
