Smiley potato cakes have a cute appearance and are very popular with children, but the taste is suitable for all ages. Whenever they show up, they are sold out.

Peel and slice potatoes and steam them

After steaming, mash the potatoes with a spoon while they are still hot

Add cornstarch, salt and a pinch of black pepper to taste

Don’t add too much cornstarch at one time, add it slowly and knead until it forms potato dough

Sprinkle a thin layer of flour on the cutting board, roll the dough into a pancake, and use a round mold to press out small round pancakes

Poke two small holes with chopsticks to make eyes, and use the back of a stainless steel spoon to mark out the mouth. Knead the leftovers and roll them out before cutting them into molds. No waste at all
