Homemade burdock tea
Overview
I brought the dried burdock root from my mother's house and stir-fried it once. The remaining thin ones were forgotten to refrigerate, and they were a bit dry since I didn't have time to cook them. In fact, the thin ones are the best. When they were exported to Japan a few years ago, these ones were the most valuable, worth five or six yuan each, and no one wanted the thick ones. So I was reluctant to throw it away, so I remembered that burdock tea is usually made in this size, so I checked how to make it. It was very simple, so I tried it, and it was indeed delicious. Burdock tea can lower fat, laxative, clear away heat, detoxify and remove dampness, invigorate the spleen, stimulate appetite and laxative, balance blood pressure, regulate blood lipids, nourish blood and calcium, nourish yin and strengthen yang, moisturize the skin, beautify and remove freckles. According to "Compendium of Materia Medica", burdock is warm in nature, sweet in taste and non-toxic. It can open up the twelve meridians, remove bad odors from the five internal organs, and can make you lighten your body and resist aging if you take it for a long time. Burdock tea has the characteristics of removing toxins from the human body and nourishing and conditioning the body with nutrients. It is in line with the theory of traditional Chinese medicine that once it is eliminated, it must be replenished. In addition, burdock tea contains a large amount of arctiin and lignans, among which arctigenin is an anti-cancer active substance. It is comparable to ginseng and has the reputation of Oriental ginseng.

Wash the burdock and remove some hairs.

It takes about 3 days to dry. It can also be dried in the oven at low temperature, but it will take a few hours. Natural drying is best.

Brush the wok clean to make sure there is no oil. After it is heated, add the dried burdock and roast it over low heat until the surface is slightly yellow.

After cooling, store in a sealed bottle. Brew it with boiling water for 2-3 minutes before drinking (it can be brewed multiple times). It can also be brewed with rock sugar, red dates, and ginseng for a better effect. You can also add a little honey to prevent getting angry. After soaking until colorless, the chewing effect will be better.
