Christmas Frosted Cookies
Overview
Christmas cookies must be made every year. This year, my daughter invited her two best friends to paint together. After the painting, the mothers gave them awards. The children gave each other gifts and shared them. It was also a good parent-child activity. I also packed a lot of sachets for my daughter to give to her classmates and friends.

Ingredients
Steps
-
Soften butter at room temperature.
-
Add caster sugar and beat until pale in color and fluffy.
-
Add the egg liquid in 3 batches, adding after each time it is fully absorbed.
-
Sift in the flour and baking powder.
-
Use a spatula to mix into a dough, wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 1 hour.
-
After taking it out, gently press the dough with your hands, cover it with a layer of oil paper or plastic wrap, and use a rolling pin to roll it into a thin sheet of about 3mm.
-
Use a mold to press out the shape.
-
I temporarily took another piece of dough and kneaded it with cocoa powder. I also rolled it flat and used a mold to carve out the shape.
-
Put it on a baking tray lined with oil paper. Of course, it won't fit on one tray.
-
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees, middle rack, and bake for 12-15 minutes.
-
Just lightly color the edges and let cool for later use.
-
Add a few drops of lemon juice to the egg whites and then add the powdered sugar in batches, beating well with an electric mixer the first time.
-
Beat until the icing sugar is smooth and shiny, and lift the whisk head to form a long triangle shape.
-
Adjust to desired color.
-
Put into piping bag
-
Start drawing the biscuits by outlining them first.
-
Slowly fill in the color towards the middle.
-
If you want to paint other colors on top, you have to let the base color dry for a while before painting. The same is true if you want to paint this kind of stripes. Paint one color first, and then paint another color after drying. Otherwise, it will be mixed together and the outline will not be clear.
-
Finished product.
-
Wrap it into a small bag and give it as a gift!
