Fruit peel
Overview
Hawthorn is particularly effective in strengthening the stomach and digesting food, especially for meat. Every time I feel sick to my stomach after eating too much meat or feel too greasy, I will eat some hawthorn rolls. Some of the takeaway hawthorn rolls are too sweet, and I’m not used to the taste; the hawthorn wrappers are hard to buy and very hard, so I feel tired from eating them, so I feel safe making them myself.

Ingredients
Steps
-
Peel the hawthorn, wash and set aside
-
Add an appropriate amount of hawthorn to the meat mincer and a little water
-
Beat it into hawthorn puree, which is not very crushed and still has some big particles
-
All hawthorns are ready
-
Take an appropriate amount of hawthorn pulp and put it into a leaky basin with mesh
-
Press and filter to get a more delicate hawthorn paste
-
All filtered hawthorn puree
-
Add 400 grams of rock sugar to a stainless steel pot
-
Add water and cook until rock sugar melts
-
Because I didn’t have enough rock sugar at home, I added 300 grams of fine sugar and cooked it until it was completely melted and the syrup was slightly thicker
-
Mix hawthorn puree and syrup together
-
When the hawthorn puree is slightly thickened, take out a portion and put it into sterilized oil-free and water-free containers. This is the hawthorn jam. Sweet and sour, it's great for spreading on toast.
-
The remaining hawthorn sauce continues to cook until there is great resistance when stirring, and it hangs on the scraper and is not easy to fall off
-
Spread the cooked hawthorn sauce in a non-stick flat-bottomed container, scrape it into a thin, even layer with a triangular scraper, and place it in a ventilated place to dry. Now there is floor heating during the heating period, so I put it directly on the kitchen floor tiles
-
Spread it on silicone paper and put it on the heated floor tiles to dry faster
-
Let it dry to your liking and then peel it off
-
Roll up
-
Dry on silicone paper, cut off the uneven edges
-
Roll up
-
Divide into small pieces
